Helena Chada, LPC, MS Psychologist
Executive Director of Centro Uno LLC, for over 37 years she has worked as a Mental Health professional in Buenos Aires, Argentina and CT, USA. She has developed her clinical practice with individuals and families of different cultures in public and private institutions.
After 16 years of assistance to the Latino community in Connecticut, she understands the importance of using the mother tongue in therapeutic work. Commitment to value is what makes us unique while promoting the social bond in community spaces of subjective production through speech, writing and other forms of creative expression.
Coordinator of the art sessions , Carolina has extensive experience in art and design as an artist and educator. With a degree in interdisciplinary social sciences with focus on psycology and human rights from UCONN, Carolina brings to the team knowledge in a wide range of disciplines including teaching of languages.
Juliana Nunez Smith
Economist and Business Administrator from Santo Tomas University, Bogota, Colombia. Juliana came to the United States in 2004. She studied English and Culinary Arts Studio in Norwalk Comunity College. Juliana has over 6 years of experience in the food service department of Public Schools of Norwalk and Greenwich. Currently she manages her own business with her husband and two children. “I feel privileged to belong to the team of Centro Uno, a space where Hispanic families feel welcome. As a mother and professional, I understand the importance and the impact that good nutrition has for the healthy growth of our children. So I decided to participate and share my experience and knowledge in the field of nutrition, offering informative and interactive workshops to help feed lationoamericanan families in the community to educate and improve their eating habits.
